AdStash is a Chrome extension that adds a days-running filter and a Save button to the Meta Ad Library. Here is everything it stores and the one thing that leaves your browser.
When you save an ad, AdStash keeps a copy in Chrome's extension storage on that computer: the advertiser name, the ad copy, the headline, the link domain, the call to action, the status, the start date, the Library ID, and a small copy of the creative. It also keeps your boards, your notes, your filter setting, and whether you have seen the first-run offer.
None of that is sent to us or to anyone else. There is no AdStash account and no AdStash server. Chrome's own sync may copy extension storage between your signed-in Chrome profiles; that is Chrome's feature and Chrome's policy.
One thing: the Pro subscription check. Pro is sold and billed by ExtensionPay, with Stripe handling the card. To know whether this install is on Pro, the extension asks ExtensionPay's servers, which hold:
That check runs when the extension installs, when Chrome starts, about every six hours, and when you open the payment page. The ads you save, your boards and your notes are never part of it. ExtensionPay is at extensionpay.com.
AdStash reads pages on facebook.com/ads/library only, to draw the pill on each ad. It does not read any other site and does not read your Facebook account.
"Clear stash" in the popup removes every saved ad. Removing the extension from Chrome deletes everything it stored on that computer. To cancel Pro, open Manage in the popup; it takes you to ExtensionPay's page for your subscription. To have ExtensionPay delete the email it holds for you, ask them from that page, or email the address on the Chrome Web Store listing and we will pass it on.
