The One-Page Brief
Deck Red TeamOpening if enough of you want it

Find the hole in your deck before the client does

Most strategy decks don't die on the idea. They die on slide 9, when someone asks "so what?" and the room goes quiet.

Upload a strategy, planning or new-business deck as a PDF. It gets read the way a skeptical client reads it, and you get a one-page memo back, slide by slide:

From a sample memo

Slide 6 → 7. Slide 6 says the audience trusts peers over brands. Slide 7 recommends a brand-led hero film. The deck never explains why the finding leads to the opposite of what it says. Either cut the finding or change the idea.

The ask. The last slide says "next steps." A client can't approve that. Name the phase, the cost band and the decision you need by when.

What it isn't

It doesn't redesign slides or rewrite your deck. It isn't for startup fundraising decks; there are plenty of tools for those. It's for the people who make recommendations someone else has to fund.

$19 per deck

About five minutes per deck. Your file is deleted as soon as the memo is written. Not open yet: we'll build it if enough strategists say they'd pay for it.

Counted, anonymously. Thanks. If it opens, The Rationale will say so first.
